Good Product But Terrible Service

first the good: great features, large capacity, looks great. then the bad: we have only had this for 3 months and i've had two service cases already. first our food showcase door was sticking - when you tried to open it the whole door opened. took a bunch of hoops to get through, but service came out and it was promptly repaired. then more recently, we opened the door and everything in the shelf came crashing down. there was what looks like a stress fracture down the entire part of the shelf. been dealing with this for days and have spent no less than 3 hours on the phone. ticket created, cancelled and created again. repair came out and was told they couldn't repair it! spent another hour on the phone and now being told it isn't under warranty.

this fridge has everything you would want except a reliable ice maker. my ice bucket keeps freezing shut to the ice maker itself. the actuator that controls the arm for cubed or crushed ice freezes stuck. having to periodically scrape out the excess ice and now my ice maker is making a burning smell. view youtube video "samsung refrigerator owners frustrated with ice makers" has 188,000 views so far.

sleek look, spacious main cabin, adjustable shelves, large drawers. showcase door is very convenient. flex-zone drawer is multi-purpose - dividing bars make it easy to keep items separated. freezer is perfect for tall/bulky food items and the added drawer is convenient for small/flat items.
after over a year and a half with zero issues, the ice maker stopped working. home warranty appliance company, after over 6 weeks, didn't resolve the issue.
i finally called samsung (duh!). appointment in 5 days. service technicians arrived with parts in hand. 2nd appointment (only 2 days later) and a couple more parts - samsung care technicians had the refrigerator working like brand new in less than a week.
i would buy this refrigerator again just because of the samsung care experience.

bought all samsung appliances for our newly built house, the first two refrigerators delivered were damaged and finally got a non-damaged third one. i've had this refrigerator for one month and the motherboard went out. took 3 days for repair man to come and fix it. i lost 35 lbs of beef in the freezer and support said i couldn't get food replacement under the warranty because it wasn't the compressor. The refrigerator can't turn on because of the motherboard but thats not a compressor issue. they do not live up to their warranty save your time and energy as well as your hard earned dollar.

the product was sold to me with the promisse of 10 year warranty but when i recorded it on my samsung profile i found out it is only 1 year warranty… this is my second fridge within 6 years, because prior one was not repairable. the fridge is fine. but misinformation on the warranty and issue with prior fridge led me to decission not to buy any samsung product moving forward and between appliances, tvs, cell phones i own 9 items

we were building our home and ordered our fridge (counter depth) during the black friday sale. we kept it packaged to protect it until our house was completed. once we unboxed the fridge, we saw it was badly damaged. not just a dent, it looks like another fridge was dropped on ours. three of the four doors are deeply dented. when we contacted samsung, they basically said "it's past 15 days so we aren't helping." we were told a supervisor would be reaching the next day out to help resolve the situation, three days later we haven't heard anything. $3k for a fridge and now we are responsible for fixing a product that was destroyed when it got to us. i had planned to buy a samsung 70" tv this weekend, but i will be going with lg now for sure.

this fridge has plenty of space. the water pitcher inside the fridge is a neat feature, we use filtered water all the time and it is very handy. this one comes with a 10-year warranty. i saw lg models where the water dispensing is much shallow (not as deep as this samsung model), their model does not intrude inside the fridge either, it saves a ton of space. wish this one had that feature. this fridge is huge, we ordered it directly from samsung. the delivery service was not the best. it's done through a logistics company and those guys do not put on a protective covering over their shoes when they enter homes, they do not move anything, or do anything to make sure the fridge can be installed in the home.

i reaearched fridges extensively and this is the one i selected. i wanted the flex drawer and the food showcase door. the water pitcher inside was adorable and helped me decide. we've had the fridge for 5 days and so far i absolutely love it! it's a huge upgrade from our 11 year old side by side. the flex door provides invaluable space- especially when you have a constantly hungry teenager and tween. the shelves on the left side are slightly awkward shapes and sizes, but i made them work. the right drawer is impossible to get all the way out of the fridge for cleaning. but, bottom line- this is a beautiful appliance and seems to offer so much more storage compared to our old fridge!

purchase our new frige in august 2021. started making noise a month after purchase. samsung sent out repair rervice. back metal cooling panel arrived dented. noise did not stop. samsung said work orders was complete and the work order got cancelled. contact samsung support, have spoken to 4 different people. getting the run around. it. the end of november. refrigerator is making noise still! it might get fixed before christmas 2021. only good thing is that we got a military discount on our purchse.

we receive this new refrigerator on a tuesday. by friday the water stopped coming out. i called samsung and they sent a repair person. he could not fix it after some attempts. after arguing with samsung they agreed to replace this refrigerator. i'm still waiting for replacement. the store where i purchased it said some time after christmas, 2 months after i received it. i'm very disappointed in this product. should have got a kitchenaid

quality control and customer service need improvement samsung. i love the layout/features but the defects are really frustrating. 1) noise caused by known issue with fan hitting ice. defrost mode beeps for 30 minutes and now it needs to be defrosted 2x a day. what's worse, your service tech has scheduled 4 days in a row and not met one commitment. my fridge had been sitting here unplugged and the company can't communicate delays. they wait for me to call and then say sorry and reschedule. 2) right door will not stay open (it slams into me) even after checking alignment of the fridge and adding the optional washers provided. 3) the water pitcher has a gap between the lid and base - you pour, it leaks 100% of the time.

product last 23 months. terrible for over 3000$. they were supposed to send a tech but none in my area. so i have to find one and if it's a sealed product they will send another so who knows how long i'll be without a fridge. happy thanksgiving.. i will turn everyone i know away from samsung products... we have samsung stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer and galaxy phones. kind of bitter about handling of it all and product after being a very loyal customer

s0 far ( 4 days) we love everything about this refrigerator except 3 things. 1) the black stainless steel scratches very easily. we placed a smooth magnet on it (who doesn't, right?) and it left a small scrape. so much for grandkids artwork. 2) the right hand door will not open enough to be able to remove the right hand drawer. it needs about another inch to open enough to fully extract the drawer for cleaning and 3) there is no drip catcher for the water and ice dispenser. there isn't even an aftermarket version that fits this fridge. water collects on the base and has to be wiped off after each use. apart from those things, it is a terrific appliance. the flex drawer is great and the internal auto-fill water pitcher is a fantastic feature.

we've had this unit for a little over a year and it's quite a benefit, especially when entertaining. the various temperature levels afford great flexibility and overall, we're pleased with the unit. that being said, we've had intermittent issues with the icemaker not working then working again. right now it's working. also, the pitcher has leaked from almost since the refrigerator was delivered. aside from those issues, it's a great product.

ordering and delivery went very smooth and we love the refrigerator. it's super quiet with great features. however, the "but" is also about the water pitcher, it leaks when you pour so you have to make sure you pour over a sink. not a huge inconvenience, but when you spend this much money on an appliance, something like this shouldn't be leaking.
i contacted samsung support who initially said they would send me a replacement, but then i received a phone call several days later saying the replacement wasn't available and they were canceling my ticket.
you may want to look elsewhere if this pitcher feature is important to you. i wouldn't buy it again knowing i'm planning on keeping this refrigerator for many years and can not replace an important part.

we didnt need a fridge but we were at lowes and they were having an amazing sale. our old fridge sounded like mice were scrambling around in it but it worked. but this samsung has changed my life. the room is phenomenal. i can see everything in the fridge and i am not constantly rearranging the space. i use the drawer for my snacks that i don't want to share or if we entertain then for wine. the freezer holds all of our meat that we need over two weeks without a problem. i finally can buy more than one box of skinny cow ice cream bars at a time. my boyfriend even commented about how easy it will be to host parties and he does not like to entertain.

the autofill water pitcher leaks when you pour water from it making a mess. also the pitcher has taken to filling only some of the time. i had the entire door replaced to fix the water pitcher fill issue, and it returned just a few months later (after the warranty ended mind you).
the ice maker is another issue, i had the issue of it freezing up, a technician fixed it by turning down the water pressure which caused the problem, i am glad to say that fixed that issue.
now the ice cubes dont alway fill the ice bucket, they get stuck between the ice tray and the compartment wall, which is a whole different issue... my ice bucket is now cracked from trying to remove it with this blockage in the way...got to find a replacement.

so we got rid of a brand new ge adora because it would constantly freeze the evaporators and all the food would go bad. since it was out of warranty we decided to get the samsung. after 3-4 months it stated making the same kind of noise as the ge was making since it was still under warranty the tech came out and found that it was the ice maker that was freezing up. then we ised the water pitcher a few days ago then we washed it in the dishwasher and now its in the garbage because it melted and the replacement is $100. so not only am i never going to buy a ge product ever again but now we can add samsung on the list aswell

i am almost a year in with this fridge, its beautiful concept but the ice maker is trash, when selecting cube you get crushed no matter what setting. we had this issue for about a month, pretty typical based on reviews. the ice maker than quit and we tried removing the ice bucket but it is stuck like chuck. i was asked if there was ice build up, i couldnt say for sure but the bucket wont come out and ice wont dispense but water works and autofill pitcher works. i have service scheduled for next week and warranty ends at the end of april and of course it breaks less than a year in. i think its ridiculous to pay this much money for a vanity design that wont function correctly. i had a kenmore with icemaker and water that i have had 15 years ans never one issue. samsung this isnt right!

bought this to replace a side by side. i love the drawers and there is lots of room. the fruit & veggie drawers are smaller than our other one. the led lighting is nice & bright.
the ice "bucket" is hard to remove, you mainly have to get it out of the door. it is loud and takes awhile. seems like if you use 10 ice cubes it has to reboot. the pitcher in door is nice but does leak around edges when pouring as others have mentioned. it is very quiet running. hope it lasts a long time. purchased from lowes with rebates in nov 2020.

bought refrigerator dec19. during covid it quit making crushed ice. i called customer support who told me i was outside the warranty. 2nd person said all ice makers were indefinite warranty due to so many issues. third week jan21, a samsung repairman came & defrosted the ice maker & firmware update. after 2 days it wouldn't dispense ice. bucket was frzn to side of fridge & had to use ice pick to chip it out every 48 hours for 2 weeks until samsung sent someone again. same guy came out to look at it & said samsung wanted him to replace a part he didn't have & would be back in a week. came yesterday & said it is unrepairable. disabled the ice/water, said samsung will give me a replacement refrigerator. they called to say they aren't replacing refrigerators at this time & will only refund.

we bought this fridge loving that it had everything we wanted. little did we know that there was a manufactor issue with their cooling systems and its internal design has flaws. mine had had two repairs and continues to do the same thing, it stops cooling letting all my food go bad. i set up another appointment to have a samsung repair person come out and then i get all call that they wouldnt be coming to fix due to the warranty expiring. for this being a $3400 fridgr i expected way better and definitely better customer service.

theres a bit of irony that four days after our warranty expired our ice maker stopped working. weve had a few issues with it over the year we have owned it but managed to yank out the frozen ice maker and thaw and clean it out. this time we need to empty out our fridge and defrost the whole top part because that is where the ice maker is. a huge pain that the ice maker keeps freezing over and getting stuck.

we have an older model of this fridge and moved it to the garage when we purchased this one. while we love the fridge, beware of the ice maker. it was replaced 9 months after purchase and is having to be replaced again, 3 months later. when i spoke to support, they said they knew of major issues around the ice makers in these models and would continue to replace as needed. again, love the fridge but dispose the ice maker and with 6 people in my house, i can't afford to be without ice.

This fridge is about a week old in my home, and I am in love with it. My whole family loves it. We use the middle drawer for snacks. Apples, carrots, cheeses, deli meat, yogurt, and grapes. The kids love this because the snack food is all in one place.
I love the Showcase door. It's nice to open it, pull out your beverage in a gallon container, and not have to open the entire door to access what you need. The metal coating in certain areas of the fridge is awesome. It does keep your fridge cool at the setting you desire.
I actually use the water pitcher that comes with the fridge. I like that it has an infuser. I put lemons and limes it to flavor the water. I have also done ice tea in it as well. Drinking the water from the pitcher is colder than from the front of the fridge. Of course you do have to let the water sit and get chilled. If you're patient, and can wait, it's worth it.
The freezer has taken time to get use to. Side by side objects were easy to get to, and this one, they are stacked up top of each other. The upper tray in the freezer is actually a good size. I am amazed how much frozen items can fit in it.
Love the LED lighting in it. You can see everything in the fridge without any lighting issue. It's bright and has a nice shine to it.
I love the Stainless Steel black finish. It's very pretty. Our side by side was flat black and acquired lots of souvenir magnets on the side. Those aren't going back up. This fridge is too nice to have them on.
What was great, we put all our food in from the side by side, and still had room to put in more food. Granted the side by side was a 26 cubic ft., so we gained two more getting this one. It really doesn't look like that it stick outs that much further than our old one, but I can tell it is taller.
If you're comp templating on getting this fridge, do it. It's well worth it, especially with the Black Friday deals.

this is a very attractive refrigerator. but don't let cover fool you. ice maker froze-up twice. had to replace the ice maker. water pitcher stopped filling. 2 trips to identify some switch/button needed to be replaced. the water pitcher leaked, replaced with a new water pitcher. the new water pitcher leaks. now the water pitcher is not filling up again. what a "lemon"...don't judge a book by it's cover!!!

i hate the ice maker. it freezes up like a popsicle. i was promised by the store the ice maker problem was fixed. it definitely has not been. the first 8 months it does great than once it starts freezing up you can expect it to happen every 6 to 8 weeks.

This refrigerator looks awesome and works great. The middle drawer is perfect for drinks (water, iced tea, beer, etc). The ice maker works great too. One of the most popular features in our house is the self filling water pitcher. It's perfect to fill the kuerig.

We purchased this refrigerator almost 2 months ago and is has surpassed our expectations. Love having WiFi notifications of any issues, i.e., the door is open if it is left cracked open, or the water fusion container cannot fill because someone did not properly reseat it in place. Speaking of the infusion, I would have to say that is my favorite option

We are so happy with our new fridge! We had a side by side and never had enough freezer space and I could never find anything in it because it was so packed. I love this bottom freezer with a top drawer! I was able to put my frozen vegetables and miscellaneous on the pull out and that made room for me to separate my beef, chicken, and fish into their own space. I like to be organized! Lol We also love the small door in a door for milk and juice so we don't have to open the main door and we also love the pitcher of cold water in the other door that is always full and cold! Aside from all this great stuff, the fridge is beautiful! Very happy with our purchase!

this is an excellent fridge, it's giant and fits everything. we were surprised that our favorite feature is actually the water pitcher. it auto refills and makes filling water glasses for dinner so much quicker. we can just set the pitcher on the table.
love everything about this fridge, the only thing we would change is more ice. we occasionally run out of ice and have seen models where they include an extra ice maker in the freezer drawer which would be amazing.

biggest problem is the ice maker. ice maker stipped working and cannot open the ice box to reser it/see if it is jammed. less than one year old and breaks. samsong signs me up for them to fix via the internet. didnt work. now 13 months and out of warranty.
the idea of having a easy access pitcher or water is awesome, however it is hit/miss of when it actually refills. have to shove the pitcher in and hope it refills.

since i purchased this product from home depot, ive had nothing but problems with the ice maker. when it wants to work and doesnt just hum, i can hardly ever get ice from this. it wont make full ice cubes, it just chips the ice up into small pieces or frost and then it plugs up the sleeve the ice is suppose to fall into to fill your glass, then when i open up the door, ice spills all over inside the refrigerator. i love the rest of the refrigerator but this has been nothing but a nightmare.

The ice dispenser still

After less than 60 days, the ice dispenser sensor, ice bucket and grinding mechanism all had to be replaced. Also, remember the handy small tray on the inside of the freezer door? Not anymore. You can't even get it as an accessory, even though they still make the slots for it. Other than that, good fridge.

Ice maker has stopped working. Does not dispense, 2nd time it has happened and cannot fix this time.
