Poor front panel connection design

The port that connects the front panel to the main housing is very cheap. One of then tiny pins inside the port got pushed inside the air conditioner port and rendered the unit inoperable. Very poor design.

The Unit didnt even come on didnt do nothing but sit there. It was no good. LG will not give me a refund. LG does not stand by its products. This company is from overseas and doesnt care about we Americans but to take advantage of us. They get our money and still business from American companies. I bought this a month ago before the heat really picked up. I live in a tiny house and and the smaller unit just didnt cut it. This one does the job and then some I LOVE the wifi feature. I can monitor it from work or out of town and that is a must for me since I have furkids I also love being able to set a time when it doesnt run at all. And the other important feature is it restarts in a power outtage. My last one didnt and I lost a pet because of that. LG is awesome. PUZZLED and Disappointed

I have the LW1017ERSM and am puzzled that it does not have an AIRLOW control. The Manual P18 shows AIR DIRECTION but in fact there is no lever permitting adjustment Vertical or Horizontal. I can toggle the louver downward but there is no way to keep it in that position and there is no means to toggle left of right. I called LG Customer Service and was told the FAN setting should compensate for that ??? Why doesnt the manual indicated that only certain models have that function. Doesnt make sense to me and changing the MODE to FAN is not really practical when the temperature outside is above 90 degrees BTW I dont understand your rules for entering the SWEEPTAKES - are the sweepstakes open only to those who have received the product FREE or at a discount. Makes little sense.

I purchased the ThinQ air conditioner at the end of May and by the end of August it completely stopped working. The light doesnt even turn on anymore when the unit is plugged in. I called customer service did all the troubleshooting and was supposed to have a tech come out. No one called or showed up for the appointments I booked multiple times. Worst. Customer. Service. I want a refund and I am being pushed around. I do not recommend this product.

We bought this over a month ago and love the features especially the wifi connection and ability to use an app from anywhere to start and stop it etc. The only reason for the 4 stars than five is because its very heavy and need to remove from its case which wasnt described in the product description and resulted in disappointment and the fact that it needs two people to handle and install it. Also low fan setting is still loud while sleeping.

I bought this because I wanted to be able to control while away and it works great. The reason for not rating full 5 stars is due to the following still noisy for bedroom even on low the unit is very heavy and needed to take it out of its case to be able to secure it on the window. Need two people to handle it. Would have been nice to read about it in the description. The unit also leaked because it wasnt tilted enough so my husband had to figure a workaround without the unit falling out due to the weight issue.

Its ok if you run it on cool all the time to sleep but if you run it on energy saver the units fan comes on senses the air and either cuts the compressor on or the fan goes off and everything starts all over again in a short timewhich is ok during the day but not at night unless you die when you sleep

Blows too cold too strong and too loud

Ive had it for months and the lowest setting blows too hard and is very loud. I have yet to find the right setting. Its either hot or freezing in here.

Worked good for one summer

Worked good for one summer. Put it back in the window the following summer to a grinding noise coming from the fan motor. Appears to be an issue with the bearings in the motor. Unfortunately have to spend my time this weekend opening up the motor and replacing the bearings. I wouldnt recommend this product after a short use failure.

After having my unit for only 5 months it started making a loud noise while running. I contacted LG for a replacement or to get unit fixed and have not heard anything back. Highly disappointed.

Essential Parts Missing

It was 90 degrees. We were excited to try two new LG ACs to replace older units. At the last step we found that the grill assembly was missing a wire/connector presumably also the pcb to connect to the unit. I am not sure if there was a product change but the owners manual tech service used was different from the owners manual included with the product. We finally received the part... wrong again... There is apparently an assembly defect or the team is missing the problem. Still waiting for LG to resolve. Next week will be one month since we purchased Expensive purchase of something that cant even turn on

My entire experience from opening the box installation and operation of this unit was a very pleasant surprise. The unit is well-built and easy to operate. My favorite feature is the LG ThinQ wi-fi app. Just make sure you follow the instructions and be mindful of the required digits while adding your password. Its been a month and the wi-fi has never failed. This unit cooling capacity is really great. The only negative issues are the 2 types of foam. The non-adhesive foam strip should be thicker and somewhat wider. Then there are the very very thin Foam-PE window sash seal strips that should be made more durable. However they more than make up for this with the adhesive-backed heatproof foam a very impressive item. In closing I am very satisfied with this window A/C. Just take the your time and follow the instructions when installing the unit and programming the wi-fi to the phone app. Received Sweepstakes Entry for Review

Great A/C thats Easy to Install and Use

This is the fourth LG Air Conditioner that I have bought for the house and all of them have worked great. This one replaced a 12000 BTU which died after 11 years and I bought it for the WiFi capability. It was ease to install and set up and now I can turn it on/off and adjust the settings just by telling Alexa. It is pretty quiet and cools my room great. I recommend it.

Awful. First unit was DOA. Second did not cool.

First unit was dead it would hum and die. Second unit Could not cool more than 10 degrees. Fan was very weak compared to lgs own 8000 BTU version. Wifi disconnects on all of their units. I am a Network engineer it is them not your Network. They removed the drain. Water was pooling in the unit.

Not happY the Mother Board went out after onlY 8 daYs. Had to have a tech come out and he had to order a new one without a time frame of getting a replacement

I am an allergy sufferer who always came home to a very warm house until my son-in-law and daughter assisted me in purchasing this unit that can be turned on via Wi-Fi whenever needed. I now come home to the comfort of a cool apartment. I love my new unit
