Design flaw with the touch screen

I love the many options the oven has with 1 major issue. They forgot a cancel button foe the touch screen. If u click on settings you are stuck on the settings screen with no way to back out. LG chat customer service was the worst and repeatedly told me read the manual even though I told them I did and it wasnt there. Told them that was disrespectful to constantly tell me to read the manual again and they ended the chat. Finally called and they confirmed there is no cancel or back button and manual doesnt show what to do. Dont know why lg would remove one of the most basic buttons?

Still getting familiar with the Stove

Bought the unit in December. The features are great. Using the Wi-Fi is really a nice feature. It just so happens the two right elements stopped working. LG customer Service troubleshot over the phone and sent a technician out. He did get the elements to heat up but will have to come out again to double check the unit. Will add to the Review when the service call is complete.

Help make an amateur cook become a master chef

This range works flawlessly the oven making numerous superb roasts. But there is a significant issue with ease of use. The control panel displays the TIME and TEMP in a very clear and bright electronic indication which is great. However all of the oven and timer controls are impossible to see unless there is bright light opposite the face of the range. And if one is standing between the range and the light again the identifying writing on the panel is lost. Why is there NOT a back-light to make the controls easy to see and use? And the oven vent grill at the rear of the cooktop is not a great design as cooking spillovers etc. go through the openings and are not easily cleaned off/removed.

Touchy Dials - Beware

Range is good other than you have to be very careful with the dials as simply brushing up against them will turn them on. They are very touchy Not a range I would have with small children for safety reasons. Recently had a pyrex dish explode as the burner was accidently brushed up against and turned on. Luckily no one was hurt.

Dangerous design flaw

I wanted to love this oven. I bought it to replace an older LG. The oven works fine no complaints. The big problem is that the burner knobs are positioned in such a way that people walking near it or reaching into the microwave above it end up unknowingly hooting the knobs and turning on the burners. This happens multiple times a week. One time there was something on the oven and could have started a fire but I found it when I smelled the burning. I contacted customer service with no solution. They said they suggest using knob covers that they dont make. They wouldnt provide a suggested cover and I believe this is because there are none that actually fit these knobs.

Replaced a broken oven with this LG that Im still getting used to and so far I love the features especially the air fryer capability and the safety features with the push-in and lit stove knobs. Used the air fryer for vegetables and they were amazing with just a little drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. My pies have turned out beautifully evenly baked and the convection fan did not blow the pie filling over the front side as my last oven would do.

I bought this stove about a month ago and Im very happy with it I read so many reviews and considered many brands. LG won me over because of the features and the quality reputation that LG has. Our fridge microwave washer and dryer are all LG. One of our TVs is too. All excellent products One of the reviews I read was that the top is difficult to clean. Id like to address this. Glass cook tops take more work than the regular coil top. The best products to use are Weimans glass cooktop cleaner in the bottle and the scrubby pad they sell. You can find it on Amazon. It makes things easy. Also its very important to clean the cook top after each use I learned this from using my last cook top. Another complaint was that the ovens Easy Clean feature was useless. I have to admit that I agree. However my model also includes a Self Clean feature which works perfectly Make sure your oven has SELF CLEAN. I love the air fry feature. Chicken wings were delicious Potato wedges too It cooks a lot at the same time. My oven is deep and wide. The cobalt blue interior gives it an upscale look so pretty. I appreciate the many shelf levels that this oven has from which to choose. The backlighting on the knobs is a great feature With one glance I can see that Ive left a burner on. The stove top is wonderful The front right burner has 3 different size options. The largest one accommodates my largest skillet which is great Both front burners heat very quickly yet simmer gently. I was able to simmer a large pot of tomato sauce and meatballs for hours without the sauce sticking to the bottom of my pan. It maintained the desired temperature consistently. I was very impressed. I cant imagine having any problems with this range. Im so happy I bought it

I like the low-profile and the variety of heat levels on the stove. I also like the air fryer option. The oven is taking me some time to get used to... It seems to take longer to cook things. It came with a scratch on the metal on top. I didnt ask for a replacement at the time of purchase but it does bug me. Customer service has been great Im sure they would have made it right if I had asked. The drawer on the bottom is smaller than Im used to so we had to reconfigure some of our storage.

DANGEROUS safety flaw with burner knobs

One very major flaw. Be extremely careful not to even slightly accidentally bump the knobs because they will turn on with the slightest press. Ive scorched two towels because of this. So now we must remember to lock the burners after every use. Ive never seen anything like this and would return it if I could. We purchased in mid-June and dont use it a lot primarily because I just about hate it. I think its worthy of a review by the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Would never ever buy this again. It has a lot of good features but the safety issue with the burners negates all of that. One more thing: we clean the top every time we use it. We spend a lot of time trying to get the streaks off from the top. It becomes a streaky mess even when you wipe it with clean towels. It appears a substance is coming off from the seal around the top. We have a new LG refrigerator and dishwasher and they are great.

We bought this because the range in our newly-built house was so difficult to reliably cook anything at all. The LG is perfect The oven temperature is very even and cook times as expected. The air fry option was not quite as crisp as stand-alone air fryers but we have only tried it a couple of times. Waiting to try the sou vide option. Now we thought the WiFi connected option would not be really of any use. We were wrong It not only allows remote adjustment it will alert you when you are finished cooking no matter where you are in the house. Actually quite a pleasant surprise The cooktop is well laid out and very responsive and easy to use. Overall this is the best range weve ever had

One major design flaw

We ordered this in February and it was installed a couple of weeks ago. Looks very nice but has not received any use at this point we had gotten used to prepring meals on the grill microwave and toaster oven. There is however what we consider to be one major flaw in its design. The burners turn on very very easily. Even a slight brush against them will turn them on. I actually scorched a dish towel partially covering a burner when I did not realize a burner was on. I had not turned it on but apparently had bumped it enough to turn it on. The range does have a lockout feature that I highly encourage you to use. Otherwise it is a nice range which I think will provide many years of use.

We purchased this LG range about 6 months ago. The oven components work great with even baking and roasting. The Sous vide and air-fry are great features. The cook top is frustrating and the performance of the burners differs making it hard to know what to set dial to. The cooktop has multi sized burners and the knobs are divided to allow size choice further complicating adjustments. The biggest issue with this stove is with safety. The knobs stick out quite a bit and even casually bumping into it will turn on the cooktop. This has happened many times. There is a lockout button but that cannot be used if oven or cooktop is in use. I have been in touch with LG and service came out but they claim it is operating as designed.

Profession quality range.

I have been using the range for about 4 months now and it has been great experience so far. I had a gas range for the last 3 decades so I had to get used to a n electric range. The burners works well and the top is fairly easy to clean though still require a cleaner for burnt spills. The oven is a gem and excels at baking. The range is professional built and strikingly good looking and operates efficiently. The only gripe is with the lower drawer which difficult to remove to be able to clean underneath the range. The Wi-Fi setup is tricky.

DANGEROUS

Purchased in November 2021 and noticed that even a slight lean on the front knobs turns on cooktop. Have nearly had 2 fires. We need to constantly lock the front panel to prevent this but it still happens if oven or other burners are on.

Nice oven but burner knobs are a safety hazard

Suite of LG appliances including this slide in range was recently installed in a renovated condo. Knobs for burners are extremely sensitive. Ultra-heat burner came on unbeknownst to us simply by a person sliding past the oven and nudging the knob on its side. Set a towel on fire. Recreated with other folks to prove nudging burner knob as opposed to depressing/turning can inadvertently turn cooktop on. Reported to LG and awaiting resolution but told by tech all slide in LG ranges have same knob.

Really mediocre would not buy again

Having a ton of trouble figuring out the cooking temperature of both the cooktop and the oven. the cook top runs super hot ie: stuff boils on setting 2 of 10 so it is realy hard to jsut simmer stuff and the oven is all over the place in terms of temp.

Great features

I bought this a month ago. I had a convection before I knew that feature was important This oven has it and air fryer - best of both worlds. Both cook and perform well. Our other oven the broil never worked right so glad to have it and its works. Love the knock knock feature and the buzzer is unique and I like the sound of it.
