Worked great but died after a only a couple years with light use. For the price you'd anticipate this lasting several years but alas... very disappointed in the quality of the product. It died while not even in use - I went to reheat something and the touchpad was dead.

Love Features, Hate Door Lock

This microwave performs well, but the door locks and stays locked at the end of cycle. It cannot be opened by pressing the door open button - you have to press and hold two control buttons simultaneously to unlock the door. It is inconvenient and not intuitive, especially for visitors or children. Is this how all new microwaves operate or is this unique to the convection / microwave products?

Two dead in 7 years

We bought this in 2019 and it lasted maybe 4 years. We replaced it with the same product so it fit into my cabinets, it didn™€™t last 3 years. So disappointed. Looks great but won™€™t last 4 years with gentle use. Do not buy!!

I™€™ve had this microwave 4 yrs and the circuit/board started sparking while warming food. I stopped the operation and checked to see if I had the food in a microwave safe dish. Tried again™€¦same sparks. I scheduled a repair with Bodewell. The technician told me that he could repair/replace the feature but ultimately the microwave would do it again. Sooooo™€¦I have to buy another machine. So devastated!!! This has been since January. 😟 It™€™s just tough!!

I loved the look and features of this microwave. Easy to use, easy to clean. Was great for 3 years and now is dead. We paid over $700 for it. You would think for that price it would at least last 5 years if not more. I am very disappointed in Cafe and their quality regarding their products. Don™€™t purchase this brand unless you want to waste your money.

Have owned for less than 3 years. Muting itself, adding 30 seconds automatically, and other buttons being ™€œpushed™€ only when in use. Something wrong with the electronics. It randomly adding 30 seconds makes it virtually unusable.

I've only owned it a few years and it stopped working. It would spin when I opened the door but not when cooking. It's very pricey for kind of a basic microwave. I have a matte white dishwasher and fridge, and my built in space will only accommodate this size microwave. So, I'll have no choice but to buy another.

Nice looking but breaks constantly

I had a similar experience as trixie233. The microwave panel lights went out so I replaced the whole board. Then after another few months the turntable started turning on its own so I had a door switch replaced. Then after about 6 months the microwave started running after I closed to door without hitting start, except it would overheat because it was running but the table wouldn™€™t turn and the fan wouldn™€™t run. Then one day it was just off and won™€™t come back on. Not sure if I should just keep buying parts or if it will even come back on. Too expensive to have so many problems.

LED control panel keeps failing

This is unfortunately not a good microwave. It is a very beautiful microwave but it just fails too often. I bought mine in 2019 and in 2022 I had to replace the control panel ($400) because the LED display stopped showing some elements of the numbers. Then four months ago the turntable starting turning whenever the door was open, which I believe is a faulty sensor. Since it didn't affect the microwave working I haven't repaired it. But now, exactly three years after I replaced the control panel, the LED display has AGAIN stopped showing parts of the numbers. I cannot spend $400 every few years to replace this panel and so will have to look for a new microwave to replace it.

Cafe microwave non-muting

We had the previous generation of this microwave. It was repaired numerous times, and should have been replaced, but Assurion would not do that. So, 6 months after our extended warranty runs out, the microwave is shot. We replace it with the same model, as the builder used a trim kit to make it appear ™€œbuilt in™€ and nothing else fits. Guess what? The annoying beep when you touch the key pad or when food has finished cooking cannot be muted on this $1100 model. The geniuses at Cafe decided to remove that feature. I™€™ve never owned or seen a microwave that can™€™t be muted. So now, when someone is sleeping, they can be jarred awake by the obnoxious beep. When someone is on a conference call, they can™€™t warm up their coffee without muting their conversation. Of all the things to change, why would you take away a feature everyone expects?

Great Microwave Convection Oven

This is a great MW Convection Oven. I cooked a meat loaf, turned out perfect. baked potatoes come out fluffy, scalloped potatoes, good. Everything browns nicely. Defrost works great! Well worth the investment!

Worked well. The door lock feature was annoying but got used to it. Main problem for me was it doesn™€™t match my other major appliances. It™€™s matte white while all my other cafe appliances are an off white with a semi gloss. Returned.
